Awards & Scholarships
Nominating individuals for awards through VAND is vital to recognize and celebrate the outstanding contributions of emerging and active professionals in our field. These awards not only honor individual achievements but also inspire others to strive for excellence in nutrition and dietetics. Additionally, applying for scholarships offered by VAND or the Academy provides essential financial support for aspiring dietitians, helping to cultivate future leaders in the profession. VAND Awards
VAND offers six annual awards. Descriptions and eligibility criteria for each award, as defined by the Academy, are available through this link. Each District/Region Board may submit one nomination per award category for eligible VAND members. In addition, all VAND members are encouraged to recommend qualified individuals—including themselves—directly to their District/Regional Board for consideration.

VAND Graduate Scholarship
Eligible VAND members are invited to apply for the $1,000 VAND Graduate Scholarship. There is no limit to the number of qualified applicants, and the scholarship is open to both emerging and experienced dietitians.
